Within the second edition of the Half Marathon of the Sea, and in alliance with Motivva Sport Logistics, the Half Marathon of the Sea Expo was held on October 18 and 19.
One of the priorities for #CCCI is to offer cartageneros and visitors different plans through the creation of their own events. The first version of the #ExpoMMM opened its doors for free to provide a space that promotes a healthy lifestyle through sport.
For two days, kits were delivered to the 5,000 runners of the Half Marathon of the Sea and we also attended numerous visitors who came in search of innovative sporting goods. Thirty exhibitors related to sport and fit life were present at the event. Taking a walk around the Cloister was an adventure where energy gel, exercise clothes, the National Navy and many other brands captivated the attention of the public.
During the event, great referents of the sport shared knowledge with the public through enriching talks and advice to improve the performance in the race. The speakers included the Cartagena and promoter of running, Estefanía Borge;to the physiotherapist of the Colombian National Team, Carlos Entrena; and one of the creators of the Half Marathon of the Sea, Ricardo Herrera.
In total there were 5,317 participants, among which nationally, cities such as Bogotá, Barranquilla and Medellín; and internationally, countries like Mexico, the United States and China.
The alliance between Motivva Sport Logistics and the CCCI allowed us to join forces to promote the positioning of Cartagena de Indias as a destination for events and sport.
